There's something so romantic about the idea of living on a houseboat. Existing directly on the water is such a luxury, and as soon as I saw this light and bright houseboat on Rue the other day, I knew I had to share. Designed by Nest Design Co., Heather Brock & Jennifer Wundrow have created a beautiful home for a mother and her two sons in Sausalito, California. I love the exaggerated contrast between the white walls and dark wood trim!
Large windows and skylights filter ample light into the home.
Brass sconces in the master bedroom combat limited space, keeping the small-ish nightstands free for books and personal items.
The boys' room is simple and pared down, with mid-century lines and a masculine color palette. Wainscoting helps keep the bare walls from looking empty.
LOVING the almost-white of the wallpaper in the spare bathroom!
A view of the "front yard."
What an amazing space to call home! I can just imagine waking up and drinking my morning coffee overlooking the marina every morning. What do you think? Love or just like?
