Clean in Twenty Seventeen

I don't know about you, but the new year has me craving clean, fresh interiors that are full of possibilities. Probably because in real life my Christmas tree is STILL UP. Yes, we are those people now.

Anyway, one goal I have for this year is to learn more about Atlanta architecture, which is why the first Tuesday house tour of the year is of the historic Evans - Cucich house located in Buckhead. Built in 1934, the house recently underwent a full renovation by Ryan Duffey, with interior design by his wife, Nancy Duffey. It is considered the only Art Deco home in Atlanta, and thus a lot of care was taken during the renovation process to preserve its historic legacy, while modernizing it for the comfort of its new owners.

Talk about curb appeal!

Clean, elegant furnishings bring the home into the 21st century, without compromising the integrity of the original architecture.

Such a serene, relaxing space to come home to at the end of the day.

The back of the home features the most gorgeous landscaping. Cheers to the Duffey's on an amazing renovation. What do you think of Atlanta's only Deco home?

Snow Covered Simplicity at Christmas

Can you believe Christmas is in three days?! Literally all I want for Christmas is to wake up in this mountain house designed by Studio McGee. Unless you are living under a rock, you've probably heard of the husband and wife duo, based out of Utah. They have been literally everywhere this year. Their clean and classic aesthetic has been taking the design blog world by storm, while their behind the scenes web series and new online shop have allowed enthusiasts everywhere access into their world in such a fun way.

This pretty mountain house below was a project they completed a year ago, and just recently revisited to give it a Christmas update. I love the fresh and clean the holiday decor, relying heavily on fresh greenery (which probably makes the space smell amah-zing!).

These polished pulls are some of my all time favorites, which I have on custom made nightstands in my bedroom. They are from Schoolhouse Electric. Get them.

Dying over the natural light in this house. My house is a cave.

The tranquility of this master bedroom is so inspiring.

A Christmas Miracle in Montana

Santa Claus, a.k.a. Ken Fulk, shows us all how it's done this week. The lifestyle designer created this amah-zing Montana guesthouse (yes, guesthouse), showing us all how to decorate for Christmas like winners.

The fantastical designer has decorated upwards of fifteen homes for the lucky owners of this snowy escape. This property, situated downslope of the main house, is playfully named Halfway House. The White Christmas themed decor plays well against the traditional bones of the space, while a mix of vintage and contemporary furnishings find the perfect balance of comfort and rock-n-roll.

While I hate being cold, and have ambiguous feelings about snow in general, I would move into this home in a New York Montana minute if it meant cuddles with the family dog Turtle. I suppose instead I'll have to settle for the dream, and perhaps a few Christmas decorating ideas. Enjoy!

Wishing you a magical Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa holiday from Atlanta.
